Complete guide to permanently deleting your Mofilo mobile account

Important Notice

⚠️ Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once you delete your account, all your data will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

Please read this guide carefully before proceeding with account deletion. If you're experiencing issues with the app, consider contacting our support team at support@mofilo.app for assistance before deleting your account.

1. How to Delete Your Account

1.1 From the Mofilo Mobile App

To delete your account directly from the mobile app:

  1. Open the Mofilo app on your mobile device
  2. Make sure you're logged in with the original Google or Apple account you used to create your Mofilo account
  3. Navigate to your Profile navigation page
  4. Scroll down to see Data Management
  5. Select Delete Account
  6. If your subscription has expired, you'll be prompted to a page where you need to tap the top right corner
  7. This will open a bottom sheet with options to either Sign Out or Delete Account
  8. Simply tap Delete Account to proceed
  9. Follow any additional confirmation prompts

1.2 Alternative: Email Request

If you cannot access the app or encounter any issues with the in-app deletion process, you can request account deletion by email:

  • Send an email to support@mofilo.app
  • Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  • Include your registered email address
  • Clearly state that you want to permanently delete your account
  • We will process your request within 2-3 business days

Important: You must be logged in with the same Google or Apple account that you originally used to create your Mofilo account. If you're logged in with a different account, the deletion option may not be available.

1.3 If Deletion Fails (Troubleshooting)

If you encounter an error or deletion does not complete, try the following:

  • Confirm you are signed in with the same Apple ID or Google Account used when you created your Mofilo account.
  • Connect to a secure, stable Wi‑Fi network (or reliable cellular data) and try again.
  • Update the app to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
  • Temporarily disable VPNs, firewalls, or private relay features that might block network requests, then retry.
  • Force‑quit and relaunch the app, then repeat the steps above.
  • If the issue persists, email support@mofilo.app with your registered email and a brief description of the error.

2. What Gets Deleted

When you delete your Mofilo account, the following data will be permanently removed:

2.1 Personal Information

  • Your name, email address, and profile information
  • Height, weight, and body measurements
  • Gender and age information
  • Motivational goals and preferences

2.2 Fitness and Nutrition Data

  • All workout logs and exercise history
  • Weight tracking records and progress photos
  • Food diary entries and nutrition tracking
  • Custom workout routines and templates
  • Macro check-ins and calorie adjustments
  • Water intake logs
  • Body measurement tracking
  • All your Chapters (fitness goal periods/phases)

2.3 App Settings and Preferences

  • Health app integration settings
  • Unit preferences (metric/imperial)
  • Notification preferences
  • App theme and display settings

2.4 Subscription Information

  • Premium subscription features access
  • Account preferences related to paid features

Note about subscriptions: Deleting your Mofilo account does not automatically cancel your subscription. You must separately cancel your subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to avoid continued billing. See section 4 below for instructions.

3. Before You Delete Your Account

3.1 Export Your Data (if available)

Unfortunately, Mofilo currently does not offer a data export feature. If you want to keep any of your fitness data, consider:

  • Taking screenshots of important progress charts
  • Manually recording key measurements and milestones
  • Noting down your favorite workout routines
  • Saving any progress photos to your device

3.2 Consider Alternative Solutions

Before deleting your account, consider if any of these alternatives might solve your issue:

  • Temporary break: Simply stop using the app without deleting your account
  • Disable notifications: Turn off push notifications in app settings or device settings
  • Clear data: Manually delete individual entries while keeping your account
  • Contact support: Reach out to support@mofilo.app for help with specific issues

4. Managing Your Subscription

Important: Account deletion does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately to avoid continued charges.

4.1 Cancel Apple App Store Subscription

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Find Mofilo in your list of subscriptions
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription
  6. Confirm your cancellation

4.2 Cancel Google Play Store Subscription

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top right
  3. Tap Payments & subscriptions
  4. Tap Subscriptions
  5. Find Mofilo and tap it
  6. Tap Cancel subscription
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions

5. Account Deletion Timeline

5.1 Immediate Effects

When you delete your account:

  • You will be immediately logged out of the app
  • Your account becomes inaccessible
  • You can no longer sync data with health apps
  • All app functionality becomes unavailable

5.2 Data Removal Process

  • 0–24 hours: Account deactivated, app access removed.
  • 1–7 days: Personal data removed from active systems. After this, your account and data are not recoverable.

We do not maintain long‑term backups of your personal data. Once removal from active systems is complete, there is no designed recovery path. Temporary system caches or logs may persist briefly and are overwritten in the normal course of operations.

6. Health App Data

6.1 Apple Health Integration

Deleting your Mofilo account does not automatically remove data that has been synced to Apple Health:

  • Data previously written to Apple Health will remain in your Health app
  • You'll need to manually delete Mofilo data from Apple Health if desired
  • Future data syncing between Mofilo and Apple Health will stop

6.2 Google Health Connect Integration

Similar to Apple Health:

  • Previously synced data remains in Google Health Connect
  • You can manually remove Mofilo data from Health Connect if needed
  • No new data will be synced after account deletion

7. After Account Deletion

7.1 Creating a New Account

If you decide to use Mofilo again in the future:

  • You can create a new account with the same email address
  • You'll start completely fresh with no previous data
  • Previous subscription history will not carry over
  • You'll need to set up all preferences and integrations again

7.2 Data Recovery

Once your account is deleted, data recovery is impossible. We cannot restore deleted accounts or any associated data, even if you change your mind.
